Exploring Between Here and There

My birthday today so I was a bit lazy. Still up at 5AM writing, two cups of coffee instead of one and breakfast at 8 instead of 7AM.

I got a lot accomplished for a leisure day. Come with me as I drive around…

I was on the hunt for Boundry Falls but didn’t exactly find it. I did find other neat places of interest.

Narrow walking path along the top of a ledge following Kerr River. It looked like I was above a small waterfall but didn’t want to chance going further on my own.

Headed back towards Greenwood because I was looking for another ghost town, I’d read about last night. Anaconda.

In the distance you can see the smoke stack from the smelting plant in what once was Anaconda.

I tried figuring out the directions from the map on the plaques here but I guess I need a navigator.

Next stop lunch! Deadwood junction is where Deadwood Mining camp use to be.

Fun displays around the area. Sadly the Mexican Food stand was closed. And no sign saying when they’d be open. I went into the coffee shop bakery but with so many people in and around there, smoking (even with all the no smoking signs and this is a smoke free environment)and waiting to order, I let my claustrophobia and asthma take me right out of there. Another day maybe.

On my way back to Dad’s I found this neat Stop of Interest. Entwined trees park. Pretty incredible story.

Not sure what the story is here but I will find out.

Each stone had a different marking on it of animals and sun, star, moon as well.

Our very own stonehenge of sorts.

Birthday dinner with the perfect date😁 characters in a novel are always the best kind. My Dad left me a bottle of wine, and his friend made sure I had the perfect steak in the fridge waiting plus I had a piece of gluten free cheesecake to finish dinner off perfectly. My Aunt sent me a birthday gift that actually came today.

I may be alone but certainly didn’t feel it.

Trimmed up all the flowerbeds for my Dad so he doesn’t have to do it when he gets back. We’ve had frost here three mornings in a row. Think Autumn is here to stay a while.

That’s it for my day. Until next time!
