Easter Weekend was Simple

Saturday started out with a simple breakfast with my son.

Made mini egg omelets in my silicone cupcake pan and served with hot cross buns.

Then I popped the turkey roast in the oven for a couple hours to start cooking before heading to dad’s in Rock Creek.

My son joined me and off we went at 1pm. But of course what’s a road trip without Tim Hortons 😁

My son got accosted by Little Cat. She just loves my kid. Tim and Dad were bantering back and forth while she covered him in cat hair. Hahahahaha 🤣

Tim took this amazing picture of the Silkies living on the Gopher Ranch. The female has the blue face, while the male has a red one. Pretty cute couple.

Today, of course I made us a very yummy Easter breaky…

Yup, spinach, mushroom, tomato omelet with pancakes and all the trimmings and turkey bacon.

Needed my energy for my walk after.

Headed to Naramata to find some falls, I read about.

Spectacular view along the KVR trail

This is Arawana creek. So pretty along this area. I enjoyed sitting here listening to the water.

The rest area was really neat. Only thing I was sad about was the original buildings were gone.

But I did find this neat and lonely cherry tree right there beside the path.

I did eventually find the path leading to the Naramata Falls but unfortunately my vision and head weren’t making it easy to walk so I decided to just stay at the bottom of the falls. Next time I’ll hopefully be able to get up there. Maybe with a friend I can do it🤔

Dad came by just as I was getting home around 2:30 and he helped me plant the thornless blackberry bushes he bought me yesterday for Easter 💕

And of course I have to feed him! We had a picnic of three different salads with bbq beef smokies. What a wonderful way to end a very enjoyable family oriented weekend.

How about you? Did you have a good weekend? I hope so. Until next time. Have a great Sunday night.
