Today I was going to do some major Christmas baking but alas it didn’t happen.

I had a really nasty headache this morning that really put a stop in lots of things. But after a morning nap, calming tea and headache drops on my temple I was able to function a bit.

I’d been asked to create an instruction paper for making my paper ornaments. So I got my stiff out this afternoon and between creating, taking pictures and writing out the instructions, texting with my “sister”, making supper, the afternoon slipped by quickly.

Taking time through the holidays to spend with family, doesn’t always look like dinner around the table, these days. It can look like…

Texting, calls, video chats. You get the idea.

It doesn’t always mean blood relations you. It means everyone you touch with your presence. Near and far.

I love my family and I wish we all lived closer together so we could sit around the dinner table together. But until such a day that we are in the same town I will take these random calls and texts, etc.
