Today, I got sidetracked. I was planning on baking and working on a few Christmas cards that need to be finished but… in the process of getting the ingredients out to bake, I started cleaning, organizing and actually rearranged cupboards.
I have a very small place so not a whole lot of cupboard space and it’s really been bothering my for a while that I couldn’t find things easily.
Today I fixed that problem. Don’t worry, I won’t show you pictures of the inside of my cupboards before and after.

How is this a Christmas tradition? Actually I remember my mom right in the middle of working on other projects and she’d tear apart a cupboard or closet or even a whole room. She’d call it Christmas sanity during the insanity.
I know that I’ve read and heard talk over the years about how the Universe abhors a vacuum. So if my cupboards, closets, drawers, etc have empty space, it’s because I’m making room for better to come into my life.
Besides, it’s actually quite healthy to purge, clean and empty space, before the holidays or at least in the beginningof the holidays. I think it’s a way for people to feel in control during the sometimes hectic, chaotic holidays.

So if you have the urge to clean a drawer or cupboard, do it! You’ll feel lighter.
Se you tomorrow!
