Where Are You On Your List of Priorities?

How many times have you said you’re going to do something and then for whatever reason you don’t? How often have you made a promise to yourself and then never followed through?

I believe we fail ourselves more times than we fail our families, friends, our God, job… because we don’t VALUE ourselves as much as we should. We don’t think of ourselves on the same level as we put other people.

I’m here to tell you that you are wrong in thinking this. Today I want to challenge you to put yourself right where you belong. Top of the list. You see we are all taught to put others and God before ourselves, but if we do that we actually cheat them out of the BEST of ourselves. We need to put ourselves first.

I’m not talking EGO here. I’m talking about the True Self that is deserving of the best that we could and should be. I’m talking about the Self that wants to give to others, help others, be more for others.

I told a friend once that we can’t give something of ourselves that isn’t inside of us in the first place. If we can’t love ourselves, be kind to ourselves, hold a promise to ourselves, forgive ourselves, than how in the heck do we expect to give that away to someone else? And for that matter, how can we expect others to give us what we don’t give ourselves? If we can’t show ourselves love, forgiveness, kindness, compassion; don’t expect others to show it to us either. They mirror our own Self reflection.

Make the decision today to be kind to yourself, show yourself love, and make a promise to yourself today, that from this day forward you will KEEP your promises to yourself and achieve whatever it is you keep failing at. By doing this, you are making a promise to your future self that you will be, do or have whatever it is you are going for. Even if it’s just being kinder to yourself. Your future self will thank you and love you for it.

If you want to talk, I’m here. If you have questions, I’m here.

I hope this day is given over to being good to yourself and allowing True Self to shine.
